Eligibilty for Blood Donation
To be eligible to donate whole blood, plasma or platelets there are some conditions
You must be

In good health

At least 18 years old, policies may vary between individual donor centers.

At least 110 pounds (about 50 kilograms).

Able to pass the physical and health-history assessments.
You must not be suffering from
-
Hemoglobin deficiency / Anemia (recently)
- Major Surgery (within the last 3 months)
- Small Pox Vaccination (within the last 3weeks)
- Blood Donation (within the last 3 months)
- Organ Transplant (within one year)

Chicken Pox (within 1 year)
- Any other type of Jaundice (within 5 years)
- Kidney or Heart disease
- Any allergies (Only if you are suffering from severe symptoms)
- AIDS # Diabetes (are you under medication currently?)
- Hormonal disorders
